Why do adoptees look for their birth mother?

We look because we are adopted. We don’t look like anyone or get a trait from anyone. Non adopted people take it for granted. It’s our blood and until you know, you’re always missing something. Best thing you could do is be supportive and loving as a parent should do. My adult adopted son is looking for his birth mom. I asked him why he was looking but he couldn’t tell me. Why are many adoptees so interested in finding their birth mom? My son loves his adoptive mom so much. Why look for his birth mom? I know he has a biological half sister as well. I hope that doesn’t impact his relationship with his adopted sister.[/quote]
