Is it appropriate to write a generic letter or should I call each individual? What do I say when I do contact them? Second, what about people we meet for thefirst time. It is very obvious because ofmine and my husbands ages that they aren't our "daughters" in the sense most people wouldthink, and I want to honest. Do I say these are the girls we have legal guardianship of? That sounds sort of cold and unfeeling. Ireally want them to feel loved and like partof the family. I don't know how much this matters concerning the question, but we have three children, ages 10, 9 and 7 years who were born into our family.Thank you for your help. Shannon Scott

When we adopted our daughter, we sent out wonderful birth announcements, they simply said "the wonderful child we adopted " you can buy them just about anywhere, don't worry about what people say, they are in every respect your children, and should be treated as such. their feelings come first, if anyone else has a problem with that, well, it's THEIR problem. good luck
