If you had it all to do over again

Hello, I am a 25 year old pre-adoptive single who is looking for advice on planning/preparing for adoption. I would like to adopt in two years when I have finished school and intend to spend that time preparing as best I can. I have already purchased a home, started saving money, researched & read books and am currently looking for a support group in my area. I am curious to hear from individuals and couples what they felt was the most important part of their personal journey to becoming parents. Do you wish you were more educated, financially stable, older/younger etc.... Thanks!
