My husband has completed the adoption packet and passed all of the fingerprints to adopt my twin boys. They are 15 now and have never had contact with their birth father. I contacted the DA's office to have them locate the birth father, but they were unable to. Does anyone have tips on how to proceed with the adoption? I was told the way around that, is to post the adoption in several newspapers for a certain amount of time. I am having a similar problem, only my ex just stay in one place very long. He hasn't seen my daughter since she was 1..about 9 years now.
Ask someone, but I was told this is a way to handle it. To make a public announcement in the paper.
