Karen, What is the date of birth of the woman you are searching for? My name is Brenda and I was born July 12 1960 Mothers Name was Lavonne Knox on adoption papers-- Brenda -- this info's accuracy depends of the info in adoption papers being the truth.

Same here, searching for birthmother...blah blah blah.... Born at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Birthmother was 19 at the time. Anyone...anyone...Beuller?

I was born in St. Louis, MO. I do not know the hospital but my birth date is listed as Nov. 30,1970. I was adopted through Catholic Social Service.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my posts, offered help, asked questions that made me think... etc.... Two weeks ago I had phone contact with my **, 1/2 siblings and bgm! Went about it in a risky way but so far all has worked out! Good luck to all of you and God Bless! BTW, I will still look here to see if I have info for anyone still searching. :D

Can your adopted parents give you any information? Do they have the record of your adoption, and would they be willing to give the info to you? Also, Catholic Charities has general information that they can share with you for free, if you meet with them. Any medical or identifying info has a fee attached to it.

I only have a copy of my birth certificate from after my adoption. It does not have the hospital listed on it at all.
My adopted father is deceased and my mother claims to know very little other than the agency I was adopted through. I have called the agency however they require me to be there in person (because of privacy ) to give me any information at all. I live in Sacramento CA. As you can guess it would be rather hard for me to go back to MO. If there is any help or advice you can give me I would appreciate it.
