On your adoptions certificate it shows a file no. example 116 ** ***** if that number is the same in the index book it will show you your mothers name. It takes time but at least you'll have a name to start your search. It won't list your name, only birth mothers name and it will have a number 1 which stands for a boy.Or a number 2 which stands for a girl.
