My dad was born in 1919 in Canada and given the exact name of his natural mother's brother. I saw your post on Genforum in which you stated your dad's name was originally Percival LaPorte, but the adoption wasn't registered. Do you have a birth certificate for Percival LaPorte? Or was his birth registered as Charles Setchell? Maybe there is another family member by the name of Percival LaPorte?
