We are licensed foster parents and have 4 birth children. We just completed our adoption home study and are in the process of identifying 1 or 2 more children to join our family. We have 2 situations that we are currently gathering more information for. Where are you in the process? It seems like a long time at first but the licensing process does go by quickly and it gives you time to determine what children will be right for you so that when you are ready you can focus your search better.

Hi Jennifer...Congrats! We adopted a daughter from a private agency, she was a 'difficult' child to say the least but a realy peach nowadays! Then we received a fost/adopt placement of an 11 yr old boy...6 mos later caught him setting fires among other things...case worker had LIED about his background! We were not able to keep him due to our other small children. We then received a sib group of 4 who we've had 2 1/2 years while going through the process of terminating parental rights, apeals, etc. Their adoption papers just came back approved from DCFS. YEAH!
