They offer loans and grants specific to adoption so...maybe your income won't put them off.

It would get hard sometime. But don't give up. The best way to go about it is try finding someone that is in the military. That is your I don't really want to use the word cheap. Maybe low cost, I guess!! But if you can find someone in military, whether it be a single woman, or a dependent, or a young military just starting out that can not afford to start a family at the moment. Becasue with adoption agency you pay hospital, lawyer fees, and then whatever money that she encounters. By being military the cost of the hospital is already paid. She does not make any money out of it. So the only thing that you would need to do is find a reasonable lawyer and for the homestudy then you pay for the court papers. That would be the best way to go. When we adopted our daughter we were stationed in San Antiono Tx. Lackland A.F.Base. We lived in base housing. I think that it was about $4000.00 at the time and the military had just started to re-inverse us about $2500.00 . So we were blessed. I have checked on it again since moving home and you are right it is very expenive. Try checking on that and it never hurts to say a prayer every once in awhile. Good luck and please let me know how it turns out.
God Bless you and your Wife,

We paid only $1200.00 for our homestudy and we are hoping to get re-imbursed for that amount and the other costs associated with placement (post placement study, etc.) Please provide information about the program where the military will provide up to $2000.00 to assist with adoption. Program name, contacts, etc. would be appreciated.
