and have had a good experience with an attorney, agency or facilitator please share so that us new folk can avoid the scams and sticker shocks.
Hubby and I are already with an agency but will probably adopt again in about a year and I want to be ready.
Thanks!
We adopted our son through Adoptions Together in the Balitimore Washington area. We were very pleased with the workers and their fees were very reasonable. They have a web-site at www.adoptionstogether.org

My first adoption was a private adoption while I was living in Japan. The second time I adopted I went through Adoptions From the Heart. They have offices in Pa, NJ, W.Virginia and Virginia. They also work with folks all over the country in their minorty program. Since my older daughter wanted a brown baby and I was open to whatever God had in mind I signed with them and had a very good experience. They have a web site. Good luck.
We've done everything but facilitation (illegal in our state). The easiest, most knowledgable has been through an adoption attorney in Illinois with the firm of "Crouse, Cobb and Bays. They have offices in several places in Illinois.
They also have a website with good info on it.

They know their stuff and have an excellent reputation. They place caucasian, AA and bi-racial babies....and they place many of them. Their ethics with birthfamilies and adoptive parents are excellent.
They network with other Quad A attorneys and licensed agencies.
