Here is the new scoop. The conference call to determine parents of a sib of 3 will be Mon. We have some plusses they are: live in same state as children (no one else does), and he is of the same Native American Tribe as them, there are no children in the home, and I am unable to have any.
So here is the delema:
As of last week fiance was fired from work. Short version, on WC and couldn't work all day, told a supervisor was leaving, that supervisor now says not sure if did. OK, so EEOC , Family Leave Act and American with Disabilities is involved. His only source of income will be unemployment and WC. I remain full time employment. Was going to start daycare, but not now.
Is this going to hurt us?
Hopefully soon to me amom to

Make sure Plan B is in effect and has back-up plans. If your fiance's disability does not prevent him from caring for the children without assistance, this situation might even be beneficial. He might even be able to get the paperwork and licensing requirements fulfilled for starting a day care so that it's complete when you are ready to start. Look for the silver lining - it's there!
I would hope that the agency you are working with are realistic and realize that this can happen to any family. What will set you apart is your ability to re-group and create a new family plan. It might be...a stay-at-home dad and a mother that works full-time. I think if you can show that your household can financially manage with the loss of income, you will be fine.
Best wishes and good luck on Monday.
