All the info we have is that he was born Anthony Hall and it was a dss adoptionThanks for your interset
Have you tried to go through the search registry in Columbia? They might can help you with some information. They told me they couldn't help me b/c my brother was placed through private adoption but if they'd placed him they would have a record. I'll keep an eye out when I am searching. If you need anything just send me an email. tqueen2711@aol.com. I will more than happy to help if I can. I am new at this searching but I am finding out all kinds of info.
Also, if you haven't already registar with ISRR. They can help you too and it is free.
It's me again..I don't know if you've tried this already but have your husband call 1-800-922-2504 and ask how he can get his non-identifying information. It won't have the mother's name on it but it might have something that could help you look..Good Luck if you need help let me know.
This is the first time I've seen a thread this close to home. I had my daughter when I was 15 and my parents decided that giving her up for adoption was what I would do. I livw in Clinton, but I had her at the Old Laurens Hospital in Laurens. Now it has been combined and its the Laurens Colunty Hospital in between Laurens and Clinton. I had her on July 17,1977. I have received my 7 pages of nonindentifying information and 4 pictures before she was placed. I have been placed on the reunion register in Columbia 2 times. I have been looking with the information I received since she turned 18 in 1995. I f there's anything anyoneof you can do, I would greatly appreciate you sending me a private message.
Hopeful for your help, Sherri Penland Etters
