I have looked into Child care centers, and they are really expsensive, ($230/wk) I have read in other threads that in home care is cheaper, ($125-150/wk) Where do I start? I have looked into nanny services, but they run atleast $300. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

In our area (miami beach), $120-150 is way less than you would pay for full time inhome care. $250-350 is more common (this includes some light housework). Right now, we have the best of both worlds, as my girls are in the early intervention program 9-2 (free until 3 years old), and the housekeeper/babysitter is at home when the bus drops them off.
I have found that it is hard to find the right person at home, but I now go for warmth over vast amounts of experience. I also don't worry about the person speaking English. If she is warm and nurturing, then I have found it works out okay. (Of course, my husband speaks Spanish which helps!)
