Ok, everyone, I am happy, no, thrilled, to say that my homestudy visit begins on Wednesday. The SW is coming to my house and I have some additional questions. I have already filled out and 'passed' the paper part of the homestudy, meaning I have submitted all required paperwork. My agency sets you up with a SW upon completion of the MAPP (PRIDE) classes and the paperwork.
Since there was a mix-up with the agency, I am allowed to start the homestudy visits contigent upon an agreement that I will complete the classes in the near future.
Anyway, sorry, I digressed. My question is, is there any additional paperwork that I have to fill out at this stage of the game. Also, would I have to have multiple visits or should this one home visit be sufficient.
My agency is Lutheran Social Services . I don't know if that matters.
I started the homestudy interview yesterday. My agency is good in the aspect that the homestudy will not begin until all or most of the paperwork has been returned and verified. This will save me a lot of time especially since I have already selected a child already.
My first visit was basically my biographical information. It was very involved...starting with my place of birth to my current employer.
I am so happy because I emailed my 'child's' SW with my status and she said that the child is still available. Actually how she phrased it was...'I can't wait to finally meet you and introduce you to your future daughter.' I was about to cry with joy.
:D :D :D :D :D
