I am SO thrilled to be sharing this new article by Heather Lowe with you.
It is called Broken Promises.
Well, I have been hoping someone would come along and write an article on Broken Promises ...and this is one of the most wonderfully written, to the point ...wow articles I've read in a long time.
It will be the featured article at Lifemothers, I've just put together the page:

Please take the time to read this - it's long ..but somehow doesn't seem long enough.
Wow, share it with those who you think would appreciate reading it too.
Grab yourself a coffee and prepare!
There but for the grace of God go I.
Thanks for sharing the article. I worry more about my son's birthparents well-being than I worry about his. He is with me everyday and I know he is being taken care of. I feel very badly for his birthparents as I try to imagine the shoe on the other foot.
At one point many months ago, the plan was for him to return to them from foster care. Due to the relationship we had developed, the day after court, in a visit... she approached me and asked if I felt okay and then extended an invitation to be involved in his life once he went home. :D She was even an embracer as a birthmother with a woman whom she most defintely did not choose to parent her child. So for a while, it was almost like the shoe was on the other foot. What an eyeopening experience. I even wrote him a letter that I would have entrusted to her if he had gone home.
