My husband and I are currently in the process of adoption. We are hoping to adopt an African American infant, but we are in desperate need of financing assistance. Any ideas, helpful links or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
We financed our adoption through mbna america. You can find the website at www.mbna.com. Our loan was unsecured and the rate was 13.99%. We eventually transferred our loan to a local credit union. I think you can borrow up to $25,000 unsecured. It doesn't hurt to call. We only borrowed $10,000 and our adoption wasn't much over that. Our loan will be paid off this year! YEAH!!! Good luck in your adoption journey.

If you are a homeowner this is a great time to refinance and take out the cash needed for adoption. Rates are rock bottom. Or apply for a home equity line of credit if refinancing is not right for you right now.
LOL, the forum managers prolly think I'm nuts because I am posting this all over today, but this weekend we added-up what we've done in the last 6 weeks or so and we raised $5K+!!!

They are a NonProfit. They have a book on Adoption Fundraising Ideas and it has a LOT of info and HOW to do it! We had no idea what were were doing and look how well we've done!
I hope this helps! Suze
