Im new at the adoption process. Ive finished my homestudy except for my classes, which will be soon. Can anyone tell me how many homestudys I can send out at a time? The children that Im interested in are between 11 and 14 years . Everytime I speak with their social workers it seems that there are sometimes more than 100 people in line. With my being a single older parent (53) I'm beginning to think that I don't have a chance. Are there any women my age out there who have adopted, and how long did it take to find a match? Thanks, Nanci

hello I am not really sure but as far as I know there is no limit on how many homestudies you can send out I sent one to nearly every homefinder in our surrounding counties in hopes if a child come into care they might have just read over my homestudy and feel I d be a good match I think since your wanting teens they will probably be pounding your door down soon enough due to the fact not many people want teens I say call the homefinder at least once a week this shows them you want kids and they always have you in mind good luck hope you get a child soon
