One of my many postings on this site is two below this "Were Baby Anderson...." and I just wanted to post and make sure everyone knew that I found my half-sister. I started looking around 1997 and have tried to get iformation from everyone I could (my and her mother wasn't a help at all) and finally after her death her friends back in PA told me the birht took place at Roselia in Pittsburgh which led to the Sisters of Charity in Greensburg, PA. With the info I received from them I had a DOB and the county where she was relinquished. Two weeks ago I posted my information on PAFind and two days later a volunteer searcher e-mailed me all the info except a current address. With alot of help from all of them on that site this last Wednesday night I spent an hour and a half on the phone with my half-sister. We are sending pictures back in forth and have left the lines of communication open. What started with her birth in PA, our mother's move to MI where I was born and still live and finding her in TX, it proves it CAN be done.
To all those searching just know that there were plenty of times I was going to quit because I was getting nowhere, don't be afraid to post your info wherever you can because you don't know where the next piece of info that can help you find the person you are looking for may come from. Good luck to you all in your searches!!!!

Where in Pennsylvania were you born? Have you looked in to joining PaFind? They were very helpful to me when I was searching.
I have joined PAFind, but she hasn't responded to me as of yet. I got a automatic generated email that says she is behind on new subscribers. So nothing has been done as of yet with this. My sister was born in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been searching on and off for over 10 years.
Do you know where in Pittsburgh? If you don't know and if you think it might of been Roselia this was run by nuns the Sisters of Charity hold those records in Greensburg and I have the contact person's name and address. I am sure that Sue from PaFind will get back to you soon. If not I will post a message on there for you, but we'll see if she responds quickly.
Yeah, I would appreciate if you could post a message on PAFind for me. At least I can get a head start. Maybe someone will know something. Let me give you all the info I have found out: Thanks, Pattie
