Hello everyone,
I wanted to share with the forum an experience I had recently. I meet my bio. mom for the first time. This experience highlighted the importance of bonding. My bio. family have many psychological and physical issues which I am sure I have been predisposed with. However, I am happy to report that I have avoiding the predisposition and consider myself extremely well adjusted.
The role of bonding with my mother, especially, I believe made all the difference. Yes, there were stressful times in my childhood (and adulthood) but I always felt her unconditional love and acceptance. This security allowed me to grow and develop into a woman I can be proud of.
I bring this to the forum to encourage and support the bonding that you are doing. It does make a huge difference. So keep up the good work and if you find yourself confronted with any road blocks to bonding, let's talk about it.
Thank you,
Cindy Hill-Ford
