b/father

Hi... I am a b/father, since my wife and I could not have children,we adopted a girl now 20.I told my wife from the beginning that I had a daughter from a previous relationship.We never talked about it over the years,but knew it was a possability that she would contact me.Well that happened four years ago.My wife was glad I told her in the beginning.Things have worked out fine. But I do feel that at times it is a balancing act.... We told my daughter at the time I was contacted,as we were having problems with her and felt the time was right to tell her. It is probably good that my b/daughter is several states away, in that it helps both of us maintain seperate lives.Her a/parents and I get along great and have met several times. Give it time! .
