Spending time with Keith will quickly help you see what a sweet and fun teen he is! Keith's motto is that "laughter is the best medicine," so naturally he has a very witty sense of humor! Keith finds connection with people by telling funny stories, like one about the time when he broke his glasses and couldn't see anything until he was right up next to it, which he found to be both difficult and hilarious! Another favorite laughter filled pastime for Keith is watching videos of people and animals being clumsy, as long as nobody gets seriously injured! This ambitious young man would love to grow up to be a famous You-Tuber, as he thinks it would be a great fit for his funny, quirky personality! Along with his sense of humor, Keith has many other wonderful attributes and interests that are sure to help you make a connection. He happens to LOVE cats, describing them as "natural support animals." Keith tells us that his favorite relaxing spot is sitting up in a tree hanging out with a cat and that if he could make a wish, he'd wish for a cat the size of a mini-van! No need to worry, you likely won't have to make room for a mini-van sized cat, but if you do happen to be a lover of all things cat related, you're sure to be a great fit for Keith! In his spare time, Keith also likes to draw, play chess, sing, read, play Super Smash Bros and other video games; and to do his best to win in board games like Monopoly, checkers and Battleship. He loves animated movies and is really looking forward to Family Marathon Movie Nights! Oh, and if you really want to get him engaged and talking, you can always take him to his favorite Chinese buffet but be careful...last time he ate every single one of the cream puffs they had there for dessert! Keith's Permanency Team is searching for a family with a good understanding of trauma and how to relate to children who have come from hard places. A fun and easy-going family who can also provide structure, routine, good communication and clear expectations will be a great match for him. Keith will need caregivers who can be strong educational advocates for him as he moves into young adulthood and who will value keeping him connected to some of the important people in his life. There is sure to be a lot of laughter and likely never a dull moment with this amazing teen in your family! If you believe that you may be the one who can provide Keith with the love, support and commitment that will help him achieve the bright and promising future he deserves, we would love to hear from you today!
