Adoption between the United States and Armenia is governed by the Hague Adoption Convention. Therefore to adopt from Armenia, you must first be found eligible to adopt by the U.S. Government. In addition to these U.S. requirements for prospective adoptive parents, Armenia also has the following requirements for prospective adoptive parents:

Prospective adoptive parents do not have to fulfill any residency requirements to adopt in Armenia.
Age of Adopting Parents
Single prospective adoptive parents must be at least 18 years older than the adopted child.
