Biography

1968-

American Athlete

Acre was an outstanding baseball and basketball player in high school in Corning, California. He then played basketball for the College of the Siskiyous and baseball and basketball for New Mexico State. In 1991 he was signed by the Oakland Athletics baseball team, but his career since then has been erratic. He has played for the Yakult (Japan) Swallows, Edmonton Trappers, Sydney Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Boston Red Sox.

According to the NAIC list, he was adopted, but I can find no independent confirmation of this.
