We're 46 & 51 living in southeastern MA. We have 6 grown children and just adopted a now 23 month old (August) from Russia. We're planning on returning for a little brother for him this spring. We'd love to share experiences with others in the area!

My wife and I are just starting the decision making process; I'm 47 and she is 45. If we proceed, we'll be seeking a non-infant but under 10 child and it will likely be International since it's pretty much impossible to do domestic in our state outside of foster to adopt and the associated risks that entails. Russia is one of our target countries and one of the agencys we are considering (Lutheran) has an interesting program that brings the children here for a couple weeks in the summer which supposedly "counts" as the first of the two trips. It will be interesting to see how things work out as we learn more about this program and others.
Although we're a little south of you, feel free to share your experiences! We're interested. Thanks in advance, Judy.
