My husband is AD Air Force. We have 2 biological daughters, ages 3 and 5 months. Both pregnancies had complications, and we have often considered adoption. In the past few days, I have been delving deeper into the world of International adoption, and feel that this is something that I really want to do. DH is very open to the possibility, and I was just wanting to chat with some other military families in the same situation!
Hi, my husband is military too. He's full-time support for one of the National Guard bases in our state. So small we don't have much available contact w/other military families.
Congratulations and welcome to the adoption world. One thing you may not be aware of is that the military will reimburse you $2,000 towards your adoption costs after an adoption is finalized. This was a pleasant surprise for us. The agency who did our homestudy had never had a military family before and the base personel staff knew nothing about it. Thank God for previous posts under this forum, otherwise we would never have known. The form number is DD FORM 2675. We haven't had a placement made yet, so I don't have much additional info on it.

Hello,
I am AD AF as well and my wife and I are diving into the adoption idea. We are trying to get a girl while here in Japan. We are just starting and from the posts it is going to take a while. Any info you find out please let me know as I will share with another AD AF family looking at adoption.
