i think you can if you have the money and pass the interviews for any country you can adopt from anywhere but i would think you would have more luck from a third world country than somewhere like nz from an expa ozzzie overseas

If you go to the following web site (it is a page from Victoria's dept of family services site), you will find details on various country requrirements..... Each state of Australia has different arrangements and requirements, but they deal with similar countries, and have to work within the country's rules. Anyway, regardless of where you live, you'll get an idea of what each country is expecting from prospective families.... good luck with your search.

As yet legislation does not allow non-South Africans to adopt a South African child, but it is in the Constitutional courts at the moment and should be passed soon. That will then allow "foreigners" to adopt Black Babies only and South Africans who are residing outside their home country will then be able to adopt a child of any race and take him/her out of the country.
