Hi,
Is your child attending preschool? If so how is this going? Some kids love school and adjust very easily ... others have a little difficulty and it's hard to leave kids in a place when they are crying to go home with you. I remember my older son loving school ... sometimes I would come to his classroom to help out and when I was leaving he'd be in the hallway with me, crying to come home.
Let us know of your experiences so we can all provide support to oneanother.
Nancy
I wanted to bump this up. Anyone have anything to add about your child's experience with preschool. I would be interested in hearing this because it won't be too long before Daria is attending.

My DD (at 18mo) started preschool a couple days a week and has done really well. She especially likes the teacher and is confused by the other children. There is one little boy who is always so sad. The teacher said she hugs him when he's crying. We were really surprised though, because she HATES, and I mean HATES the nursery at church, though. She has never gone to the teacher without sobbing. This goes back to being 6-8 weeks old and still holds true today. I don't know if it's because of the teacher or the room, or the different toys. She loves to go to school.
This is OT, but I wanted to comment on what Poolside said about the church nursery. :)
My DD, 16mos, cried now when we ENTER the church. Poor dear. She always stops once she gets in the nursery, but we get 3 steps past the doors and she's wailing.
Blessings,
Jenny
Not to stay totally off track: But she's the only toddler I know that knows how to use a "church voice". She sits with us through the whole service (for fear of going to child care). She seriously will not go to the nursery. I kept trying and they kept paging me. This child will go weeks without crying, but bring her near the church and Whoa... It's the darndest thing. So.. she has to sit quietly with us and it seems to work.
