They are looking into adoption but the only problem is that my brother-in-law got a DUI when he was 19 yrs old (he is now 30). However, the information should be shared with the agency doing the homestudy at the very beginning. If he attends AA meetings or has been involved in any such program, tell them that, also.If it was a youthful indiscretion, they should understand. If they don't, try another agency, or offer, at your own expense, to have an evaluation by a professional before the agency undertakes the hoemstudy.
