baby A is now 4.5mos old, and is growing, tho now has a preliminary diagnosis of CP. He has been eval'ed by several specialists, and putting the pieces together, seems to "fall into" a CP category, tho won't be a clinical DX for some time now. He has had 2 more EEG's.... since my last post on him, and both came back abnormal, his last being a 24hr, and was severally abnormal. Unfortunately, his neuro has had the flu and didn't come back til today, so hopefully he will be seen, and start treatment this week. I am pestering the H**L out of the neuro clinic and they now know me by voice! His sw and the biofamilies, had a family group conference and it was decided that neither parent are comfortable with giving A what he needs, for quite a while, and will re-evaluate when he is 1yr old ( June) so we know he will be here til then. They are in trial for the 3 oldest and the 2yr old will go to biomom's father. A's issues are becoming more and more pronouced as he gets older, tho atleast is now making "some" eye contact, and has just started to smile, which we LOVE to see. He is having to wear splints in both hands, and having a soft ankle splint made for his left foot, which is turning in due to muscle tone issues. The reflux is still not under control, and the Reglan was ruled out for distonic reaction, they are actual seizures now....progressing from 1 type in August, to now 3-4 types.... poor lil thing is soo tired all t he time, but has such a hard time sleeping, it breaks your heart. We are spending all our "extra" time with him, stretching, socializing, turning his head, etc, it's exhausting, but we are seeing slow improvements, and enjoying the personality peeks we get each day!!

I am also a Foster/Adopt. Mom. I have a little guy that was also returned to BMom twice with failure to thrive and the second time he was returned he already had gone into Renal Failure and suffered multiple strokes. He now has CP, Cortical Vision Impairment, Seizure Disorder (which we continue to try to get under control) And soon will be scheduled for a Fundoplication and G-Tube surgery. It is hard to believe that this precious little darlin was yet AGAIN returned to the BMom. She seemed to "snow" the Police, the Hospital, and DCFS which just makes me furious and Surprise, Surprise....she is pregnant AGAIN!! DCFS assures me that this baby will be taken AWAY right after birth!!! New laws and Regs for FP are badly needed and you constantly hear about the "parents rights" but what about the "Children's Rights"? Thanks for letting me "vent" this has been a really tuff case for me!!
