Adoption records were opened in B.C. in (I think) 1995. Have you applied to the Minsisty of Children and Families? The head office is in Victoria and various cities have local branches. The info should be in the blue pages in your telephone book. I applied for my adoption record, and 6 months later I had my file with ALL the infirmation. It is really quite amazing. B.C. also has a reuinion regisry that I recommend that you sign up with. As well, for a fee of around $200, the province has private investigators that will do the search for you. Good luck!
