Hi all,
I just read on another forum that Reb621 has been banned from this forum? If this is the case, we will all suffer because she has proven to be a valuable source of info. for those of us behind her in the process. Is it because she posted a URL that she didn't research thoroughly? If so, it seems like it was not an intentional mistake and there was no malicious intent. Based on her history on this forum, I'm sure most of us here realized that she was simply trying to provide information and wouldn't knowingly propagate such a site. Wouldn't a warning suffice under the circumstances? I do know that if she is banned, we are losing one of the most helpful and vocal members of this group.

Posting of a website that contains pornographic and other offensive material is highly inappropriate. One of the agreed terms in the Terms of Service is that "Monitors will be regularly checking these Community Websites for inappropriate messages and material. Those containing such will be deleted without warning or explanation, and users posting such messages may be banned without warning from all Community Websites. Adoption Media reserves the right to delete any message, thread or user without warning or explanation."
Bottom line: several posts were beyond inappropriate and they resulted in a user being banned.

I have no idea what you mean by inappropriate. You know there is the Hague convention that protects people in the country of origin, there are laws to protect the children, but adoptive parents have NOTHING. Most of us have been through hell and back from infertility treatments to 8 million questions based on the why and why nots of adoption and the choices we have made. We have all been through things most people couldn't imagine. We share those things here on this forum for support, the truth that protects us as a group. We are the ones that are looking out for eachother for no other reason but the simple fact we understand each other and we want and will protect each other. Who are you protecting? By banning Reb you are not protecting us, but than again why would you. You dont even know us. Now nothing i have written was inappropriate or rude, it is the truth. Don't take away our voice our support. If you feel the posts were inappropriate than tell us in what way and why. Reb has only shared info and concerns, she has also shared support. We are all adults we will be the judge of what is inappropriate and what is not, we really don't need a third party to do so.
I have said my piece please take into consideration what we are saying and how we feel.
