my child(ren)
A while ago I started a thread called, 'how to love a child' ... which got over 1000 responses !
I'd like to start another thread which is similar, but not the same ...
What I love about my chil(ren) ...
I think we can have fun with this and I know it will be heart warming so, I'd love to hear from you ~

Oh gosh...
I love it when he snuggles up against me
I love it when he gets so mad he stomps his feet (though I struggle not to laugh)
I love it when he lights up as he sees his daddy coming
I love watching him explore and figure out how things work (someday my washer will be in 1000 pieces I think)
I love sweet kisses when we say bye-bye
I love big hugs and squeals when I come home at night
I love coloring pictures and building great lego towers
I love the look of pure delight when he figures out something new
:-)

i love how my son kisses me on the hand for no reason at all
i love it when my son trys to make his little sister's tears go away
i love it when my son learns a new word and trys to fit it into any conversation
i love the way he smells and feels when he cuddles with me after a bath.
i love his carmel skin especially in the summer when it seems to glisten
i love when he is playing nicely with friends and calls them "buddy"
i love that he is mine forever
I love they way she smiles at me.
I love the way she fits right into the crook of my arms.
I love the way she laughs.
I love the way she looks when she is sleeping.
This one is kind of wierd, but ...
I love the way she sometimes cries when someone else holds her and how she acts like I have come to the rescue when I take her back. It makes me feel needed.
I love how she looks like my husband and I.
I love everything about her!!!!!!!!!

I love when he grabs my hand and walks me over to Hilary and grabs her hand and asks to be picked up for a family hug!
I love when he "throws" wet sloppy kisses by making a sucking noise on the palm of his hand!
I love when he demands that I sit down and read to him when he feels that I have been ignoring him to long when I'm doing the dishes!
I love when he gives me butterfly kisses!
I love that he is learning to blow and spends his time on his hands and feet, bum in the air, spitting at the floor ! :p
Mostly, I just love him!
I love my daughter's confidence and energy...she could be a millionaire if she bottled it!!!!!
I love her smile....every childs smile is the most genuine moment on earth.
I love her kind heart...It will be the very thing that makes her a fine adult.
I love her love for children....she will be an awesome mommy and is already a dynamic big sister.
I love my son's imaginary world of heros...it reminds me that life is full of heros even if we cannot see them all.
I love his laugh.....it is indeed a belly laugh that makes life a happy place to be.
I love his endless "will"...it makes him demand the best and never give up.
I love the fact that he still kisses his mom...even if in front of his friends it makes him blush.
I love my toddlers absolute boundless energy....even if it is used by jumping off everything that is at least a few inches off the ground.
I love his need to hug everyone he sees.....including those few unsuspecting parents at the soccer game.
I love each new thing he tries to do each day... reminding me that each day is full of something fresh to learn.
I love his perspective on life....everything is going to be okay as long as I get a snuggle in the end.
And if we are boosting...I love my dhubby's perfect place in this family.....a great daddy and a dynamite partner.
I love the fact that everyday starts with us and ends with a goodnight kiss for everyone.

I love my 3 year old daughter's sensitive side.
I love her when she see's me sad and come's up and gives me a hug.
I love when she saw me crying about losing my precious cat Simon and she came up to me and hugged me and then wiped the tears from my eye's and told me, it's okay mommy, Simon's ok.
I love it when she asks me if she can lay her head on my shoulder.
I loved it when I saw her hug her friend who was upset because her mother told her no more candy and she started crying.
I love her sensitive side, it is so sweet.
are 24 and 22
and
I love
when they IM me and ask how I am
when they make me laugh
when I see how sensitive they are to others
when they confide in me
when they work hard and accomplish their goals
when they care for eachother
when they tell me they love me, even in front of their friends
when they didn't mind me driving them to school in my PJs
when they were little and brought me flowers
when they call me an 'activist'
when they thank me for being there for them
when I see what big hearts and good minds they have
when they let me know they want to make the world a better
place
I love them SO much!
My girls are seven and two and I love...
The way they run to each other when the oldest gets off the bus
How I can watch them learn and be amazed at some of the smallest things
Listening to the beliefs they have, like the difference between a moth and butterfly is that butterflies have fairy dust sprinkled on them
Holding them both in my arms and watching them sleep and wonder what they are dreaming
Getting the sweetest kisses, at just the right time
Having a little hand to hold for both sides
Getting to catch fireflies again!
Singing silly songs and not feeling silly for doing it
Every bit of getting to be a mommy, even being a "mean" one;)
Getting teary-eyed reading it, even!
I'll start with the teenagers, because today I need a little reminder!
I love my 17 year old DD's independent spirit, fierce sense of right and wrong, intolerance of injustice, and fearlessness in sticking up for what she believes in. (Even when she runs smack into ME doing it - like today!)
I love my 18 year old step-son's maturity (good thing! he's leaving for college in 2 months - ugh!), his total equanimity no matter what comes his way, and his sweetness and patience with his little brother and sister.
I love my 15 year old daughter's infectious good humor and playfulness, and constant chatter about the doings of her day.
I love my 15 year old step-son's passions - about sports, mostly, but also about his "causes" - and the wonderful giving heart he demonstrates in giving of him self.
I love my 7 year old daughter's sweet smiles, deep loyalties to friends and families, constant hugs and kisses, and the way she beams at me from the stage, from the soccer field, or wherever, because she's so delighted we're there to watch her.
I love my 6 year old boy's dimples, and smile that lights up a room. I love his belly laugh that has us all rolling on the floor laughing with him. And I love his sweetness, and that he still likes to hold Mommy's hand going into school (though he sheepishly drops it now when he spots his good buddies - sigh!, knew it wouldn't last).
I especially love the cuddles from all of them. From the teenagers piling onto my bed in a big ball to watch a TV show, to the little ones who still want to sleep between Mommy and Daddy every chance they can!
I love having a big family. I love it less when there are sibling spats, but boy do I love to watch them care for, look out for, and support each other.
Great reminder! Thanks!
