A few Questions(Help)

Hello everyone its me Zee again, lol I have a (few) questions I know a few of you know my situation, well to make a long story short I took my P.A.T.H class in June of last year 2003 ended in October 2003 for (Foster/adopt) program in Jersey City, New Jersey Finger prints on January 10,2004 First visit from from sw February 2004 (Home Study) Play phone tag for a few weeks in March My mother got finger printed March 13, 2004 (She will baby-sit) Play more phone tag in March (First sw tells me over the phone she is no longer my sw, that I have a new caseworker from ARC) Second sw calls me last week of March makes appointment to come April 5, 2004 to complete (Home Study) that first sw started but never finish All paper work is complete sw will come again next week to complete (Home Study) That the short version of my long story anyways My questions are, I never had a child place in my home so why did my case go straight to ARC? I though ARC was for people who already had a child place in their home and they were getting ready to adopt. So now that my case went straight to ARC HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THEM TO PLACE A CHILD IN MY HOME? I pick children between the ages of 0-3. Is this the way that dyfs usually work or is this something new. I would appreciate any info you guys can give me Thanks Zee :)
