Dear New Hampshire Adoptees,
Jean here. After days of waiting on pins and needles... our good news has FINALLY arrived:
New Hampshire's Senate Bill 335 has officially passed into law this afternoon!
OPEN RECORDS FOR ADULT ADOPTEES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!
While Governor Benson did not sign the bill, he chose not to veto it, allowing it to become law.
There is already news coverage of the event, which you can view here:

Well done New Hampshire. Happy Searching!!!!

:) The passing of the New Hampshire law allowing adoptees access to their records is of course fantastic! This is a break through for those adoptees looking for birth parents and birth parents trying to locate lost children. More importantlly I think that finally one will be able to get an insight into the medical backgrounds of our parents to medical histories that may be of primary importance to us. How many times has a doctor, hospital or some other person asked you about your family's medical background and you had to say you didn't know because you were adopted. How do we know what impact their health may have had upon us?
WONDERFUL NEWS. FANTASTIC!
