Starting a support group

Has anyone had experience starting an adoption support group? Specifically, I'd like to find/start a group in my area for families who have adopted transracially. Is it better to be really specific, ie., my son is AA-CC-Hispanic, or more general, which would include children adopted internationally? I found a neat website through a link from the e-newsletter ([url]www.sbat.info[/url]) for a group out west, mostly CC parents who adopted AA children but with an AA adoptive mom as the leader. That sounded like such a neat idea, but it'd be nice to have something close enough to home that we could physically get together once in a while. Are there groups already out there that I haven't found yet?
