I was born Troy, in Bartlesville Oklahoma July 25, 1955. I was taken by the Oklahoma Welfare department and was cared for by M. Bowman in Fay Oklahoma. I got very, very, ill and was put in the hospital when i was two years old. Just before my third birthday, I was taken from M. Bowman and adopted by a Family in Tulsa who moved to California in 1959.
The note found on me when I arrived in Tulsa mentioned that M. Bowman had some things for me that the welfare department would not allow to be sent with me.
Does anyone out there know my birth mother, M. Bowman, where my things are, or remember a sickly little baby named Troy?

Troy, have you tried DHS? You can sign up on a registry
and ask for a search by a CI after 6 months. It costs $400
to search. Do you know if you had any siblings who were
also taken by DHS? If so, you could sign up on the registry
and ask for a CI search for sibling, which they should do for
free.
Just some ideas, hope they help you.

Hey Troy,
Contact DHS and ask for your non-identifying information. Mine gave me the age of my mother and father at the time of my birth from there you can go back and check birth records and search forward. I found the newer information harder to find than the old stuff. I've had a lot of search angels and other's help me let me know if I can help you in any way since I live in Oklahoma. Sure would like to pay it forward. Good luck with your search
