Thank you to everyone who reads this. I am new to these boards so please bear with me.
I am almost 25, single, and looking into adopting domestically. I am looking for I have been searching agency websites and it seems like all I can find are infant adoptions. However, I am looking for a child anywhere from 1-3 years old. Any help on this? I did see that children are available through foster care- is this the only way to get an toddler/older child? I don't have issues with that, it just seems very complicated and confusing.
Any help anyone can share would be wonderful since I don't know of anyone locally that I can talk to who has gone through this.

We have been utilizing our county and we have been really happy so far. On the website www.cakidsconnection.com there are many kids from your county that need to be adopted. Good Luck and finding a child in our own country that needs love and nurturing is the best thing for America's children.:)

Hi,
We're adopting through foster care. I believe that no matter how you adopt it's complicated and confusing. Foster care, however, may be a little more of a bumpy road as the plan for these children is ALWAYS reunification in the beginning. If the parents don't do what they need to do then the plan is changed to adoption. It's a long process but very rewarding in the end.
Best of luck.
