My fs just turned 3, and had a speech evaluation yesterday. The therapist was pretty convined he has apraxia (sp?). Anyone dealt with this before. comunication is very frustrating for him and the rest of the family especially my other 2, 4 year olds.
I don't have experience with apraxia myself, but I am sure some others out there have. I would post again and put apraxia in the subject line (title). Post it on the regular adoption special needs board, too, maybe, to up your chances of finding experienced help.
I did have one friend whose daughter was apraxic, and I know that she got therapy from an early age (probably 2 or 2.5) both in home and at a special school and that it did help a lot.
Good luck!

My best friends foster daughter has this and she is in speech therapy and has been for about a year and is doing great. I know that in the beginning it was difficult for her and for them but with training and understanding she has made a lot of progress.
I agree with mallory4 that maybe putting Aprexia in the subject line may get you some more help.
