After 36 years of a selfish adoptive mother never wanting me to find out an aunt and uncle had had enough and did the right thing and confirmed my suspicion of being adopted. I registered with the state and got next to no info then 1/1/13 a new law passed that entitled me to any and all unidentifying info without having to fill oout paperwork and petition courts ect... So after a call, 2 days later I had 3 pages of history and info. Obviously names and some other things were blacked out. Fortunatley on a few blackouts I could see just the tip of some letters and count type spaces ect...and was able to compile quite a list of notes to go on.
To make a very long story short...it took me 6 days to find these people. Turns out I lived 5 miles from my oldest brother for about 8 years. But I have read sooooo many stories about reunions....bad ones... OMG i was a wreck.
The end result..... all 6 of these people have expressed how they have thought of me their entire lives and hoped I would find them. All have said there was a missing piece until now. Every one of them txt or FB me daily and tells me that they are thinking of me.
Now that I know the circumstances I understand completely why my mother had to give me up.
To think that my adopted mother had no intention of ever telling me purely for selfish reasons just infuriates me beyond comprehension.
