I have been reading these threads for 2 weeks now and I don't understand what is happening. We live in Northern MN and are in the process of adopting our second child. The first one took 4 months from the time we took the classes to getting him in our home. The second one took less then 2 weeks from calling our worker to getting her.In fact our paper work was just renewed a week before she arrived at our door. Mind you they are both waiting children, but they are worth the world to us.The program we go through was free, in fact we get adoption assistance, and foster assistance.So if you are looking for an older child or a handicapped child let me know, I think I have connections!Cheri
