Over the last few days, Ive seen several threads pop-up regarding the odd things that seem to come and go with the forums, so I thought IҒd address it in one thread, so we could refer back to if as things move/change/disappearif you have questions, someone from the moderating team will try their best to answer it, so post if youŒd like.
First, they are adjusting the new template that was added last week that made the size of the font on the forums look tiny for some folks. As far as I know, they arent removing the template, just making it easier to navigate/use.
They are also adjusting/making changes to some of the options, which ones are unknown at this time҅there are several that have been brought to their attention, so we hope, before all is said and done, that all of these options will be in place sooner, rather than later.
A couple of things to expect over the course of today, and possibly the start of the business week next week are the following (of course, this isnt a complete list, add to it if youҒd like):

Weird ad placement, possibly over some of the Navigation Tool Bars, which may make it hard to navigate the forums from time to time.

Disappearing ads and Navigational Tool Bars.

Template tweaking may result in removal of the divider lines between threads/posts/forums and may make the forum looked washed outӔ.

Inaccessibility and/or problems related to the Journal feature of the forum.

Problems loading/displaying pictures and avatars.

Database issues: unable to search recent posts or connect to the forums due to a reboot of the servers as changes are being made.

Server slow downs.
If you are still having problems reading the forums because of the font size and you use Internet Explorer, go to View, then Text Size and select the next largest text. The text size issue is a user side problem. The new template adjusts the look of the forums based on the settings you have set in your Internet browser.
Additionally, Symantecs most recent ғupdate blocks the Reputation pop-up when you attempt to give Reputation to a member. If you have updated your version of SymantecԒs software, this could result in the inability to provide Reputation. You will need to adjust your settings to allowӔ the pop-up for the Reputation feature to work. I will work on getting some steps to post here on how to do that.
The issue with Subscribed threads not having the URL to the post should have been addressed, if you are still getting emails via Subscribed threads that do not have the URL, please let me know.
Ive been told that the name ғFamily Forums is not permanent. When they plan to change it back is unknown at this time. There is no need to update your bookmarks/favorites, as none of the URLԒs to the forum have been changed to reflect this temporary change.
As always, I will attempt to keep everyone informed of changes/problems, as I am made aware of them.
Please, dont hesitate to PM me, or anyone else on the Moderating team, if there is an issue you need help with!
Thanks everyone, have a great day!

What's up? I'm new, and I have an issue with posting a thread. For example, when I finish writing the whole thing, I'll hit post thread or whatever it is, and it will claim i do not have enough characters in order to post, but I think it works sometimes, because I tried to reply to a post, and it let me, but I decided not to post ( I know, I'm strange that way). Obviously it works here, so I don't know whats going on. If you could help me, it would be really great.xginaxx

For anyone having questions along the same lines as the previous poster, underage searches are not permitted on these boards and minors are not allowed in the chat rooms. Creating multiple accounts to bypass that will only assure that we know the exact internet address of your computer and block it from accessing the forums.
