Guatemala does not have a specific age limit for parents of newborns. Each agency however can specify their own parameters. Inquire at different agencies and you will get different answers.
This was also a concern for my family. Feel free to PM me.

There are no limits in Guatemala...but agencies may have limits. I have had clients up to age 60 adopt from Guatemala.
Some agencies do have age limits..I have read mostly it is around age 55 for an infant..but as Becky said its not a Guatemala thing but each individual agency. I was in Antigua in 03 and met a woman in her 50's adopting her 3rd Guatemalan baby..she had 4 grown bio children..2 out of 3 of her adopted children have cerebral palsy..I sure give her alot of credit..
There are also toddlers and older children who need homes. You can get a newborn referral but the baby won't be home until around 4-8 months old, depending on your agency, attorney, paperwork etc..
