 I have been waiting for almost 18 years to meet my sister and I just found out that I HAVE TO WAIT TIL SHE'S 21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there any way around that???
I didn't give her up, so why can't I see her? I am going to write as many MO govt. officials as possible to let them know how wrong that is. Does anyone else agree? :(

I agree honey. I feel the same fustration. I have been waiting 20 years to meet my niece, but legally, i have to wait not only until she's 21, but also..... she can only register w/the state of mo IF her aparents agree. Her adoption took place before Aug 1986.
So sad, so sad. :( They won't even know that their birthfamilies have been searching for them unless that happens.
However, you never know......she may end up on this sight, or another before then.....post EVERYWHERE YOU CAN!! :o

I looked at mo adoption law (every one) and the only way you can contact the adoptee is IF YOU ARE A SIBLING WITH A LIFE THREATENING Disease or disorder. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I have severe mixed episode bipolar disorder and I was deemed disabled BY THE STATE. It qualifies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU SEE THIS SISTER (sarah to me) I CAN LEGALLY GET YOUR RECORDS AND CONTACT YOU. On the 24th
it is LEGAL FOR YOU TO EMAIL ME. I am going to Clayton and getting your records. Our other sister has Lupus. I miss you so bad, you couldn't ever imagine.
