ISO 1/2 brother born St Louis MO July 1944?

I'm looking for my 1/2 brother who was born in St Louis, MO. My 94 yr old mother can't remember the exact date but believes it to be July 1944 and can't remember the name of the home for unwed mothers where she stayed and is not sure of the exact date. She thinks it is 7/25/44 but it could also be 7/14/44. She thinks she was using the name "Hoyt" at the time.
