I was surfing the web tonight and went to the DSHS site and the following is what I found:
NON-IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
To obtain non-identifying information for children adopted through DSHS, a written request must be submitted to:
Adoption Archives
Date of birth and adoptive name
Name of adoptive parents
Return mailing address
Now seems to me, if we had the name of the adoptive parents, and the adoptive name of our child, we could find them on our own.
Can we birth families say ...DUH... or Intelligence+ Government Officals= Oxi-Moron x Red Tape.
Oh forgot was laughing so hard:
Birth Mother searching for..Daughter, Connie Rae Mika, born 08/26/1979 and Son, William Leon Mika, born 09/30/1977 in Honolulu, Hawaii but adopted through Washington state ( see my Journal for part of the story)
Rosie
