Help, lost my menu!!
I recently got a new computer and I'm using IE 6.02. Since this upgrade, I have lost the menu across the top of the screen that reads: User cp, new posts, etc.
I appears that there is a tab at the pregnant? adopting parenting etc level that is obscuring the lower menu. The last tab I see at the top reads "foster" and then there is another tab, but nothing on it. That menu is obscuring the one below it that has user cp etc. on it.
Can anyone help?
Kelley

Have you tried putting your settings at 100% width?
Just to see if it re-sets the page for you? Scroll down to the bottom of this page for that option.
If that doesn't work, have you tried logging off completely and clearing your cookies?
Strange! I'll look into it and also check with Brandy/Sarah who are more techie oriented than I am.:)

If I were the betting type, I'd almost be willing to bet that Aspen is right ;)
All the menus are there, but they're crammed in to a small space. If after adjusting your resolution, the font/text is too small, adjust your text size. (The forums text size is dependant on your individual computers' settings.) To do so, go to the top of your IE screen click View then Text size and select something bigger than what you've got.

Bleh Kelley, I have been really busy...I'm sorry.
Have you run Windows Update since you got your new digs?
I've seen that issue before, it was right before the big server crash in August that resulted in the loss of member accounts - but it was more wide spread.
I wish I had more info - I know Sarah is passing the email on to the tech folks so they can see whats up...hopefully we'll know something next week :(
Have you tried any other browsers? Firefox? Netscape?
For anyone else experiencing this issue, could you please list your computer model, manufacturer, and screen resolution?
It seems to be something affecting some Dell laptops and PCs that are running Internet explorer when set to specific resolutions.
Current workarounds:
1.) Try adjusting the font size of your browser slightly. You can do this by going to View->Text Size and selecting something slightly bigger or slightly smaller.
2.) Change your monitor resolution. Usually higher is better, but if you have a hard time reading smaller text, try setting it lower.
3.) Try another browser, if you can. We generally recommend FireFox, but Opera does not seem to exhibit this problem as well. There are other benefits to using these browsers as well, but they also work a little differently from IE.
Thanks!
