Oregon Adoptive Parents Network Welcomes You!
We are a volunteer group of adoptive and pre-adoptive parents who have networked together to offer support, resources and encouragement to one another. We recognize the challenges that can arise in parenting children adopted through Oregons childrenҒs services. This group was started to specifically address our needs and concerns as adoptive and pre-adoptive families, so we may be better equipped to parent our special children. We also understand the adoption process can be stressful and confusing. Our hope is to offer perspective and insight to waiting families as well as providing a safe place to share feelings on matters. We believe the process of adopting is just a small part of our lives, but parenting is lifelong.
If you have a completed homestudy we welcome you to join us the LAST Tuesday of every month from 6:30--8:30. Our first meeting will be held November 29th at the Hillsboro Library (Tanasborne, behind Peir 1 Imports) off 185th. This meeting will go only until 8 pm.
Starting December, we will be meeting at the Beaverton Resourse Center, the LAST Tuesday of every month (stay tuned for confirmation after Dec. as to us remaining in the Resource Center). There will NOT be a DHS worker present.
