I was born 5-5-52, in West Palm Beach. From what I have gathered, my father was a musician. I don't know a thing about my birth mom. But my given name was Noreen Lucille. (First/Middle-surname unknown).
I'm hoping to make contact with my birth family, for medical reasons.
As for my daughter, she was born at Women's hospital, in Tampa, 4-4-75. Again, my health is the big reason to contact her, if possible. Inherited tendencies towards my condition make me want to let her know.
Since my last post, 8 years ago (Goodness, time flies!), I have made no real progress in finding anyone. It is disheartening, to say the least, to know that there are people out there who are related to me, but nobody is trying--or if they are, they are looking in the wrong place.
I have contacted the State of Florida Adoption Registry, but no matches, either for my daughter or my parents. Does this mean I am fully alone, the last and only of my family?
I've tried social forums, such as FB, FARR, and my non-identifying information does not seem to exist anymore.
I am pushing for a change in the laws -- why are we forced to live as a "non-person"? Why are we kept deliberately ignorant of our history?
It is time for a real change -- into the 21st century, where laws are current and not rooted in antiquity!
