born in a military hospital

Does anyone know how I would go about getting ahold of my hospital records from when I was born? My mother's husband was in the military at the time, so that is how I came to be born on base. I've tried searching for a phone number, but haven't been able to find one. I would think, after all this time (37 years) that the records would be archived somewhere else, but I've had a nightmare of a time (Internet searching) trying to figure out where they might be.
