If you have your Yahoo, MSN or AOL Instant Messenger ID posted on your profle, you COULD be contacted by someone who obtains your information from this site!
I have been sent TWO reports of members being contacted by someone who obtained their information from our site - the person being contacted has been asked for personal information!
FAMILY FORUMS WILL NEVER ASK FOR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM YOU (Aside from required profile info, but that is only asked for when you register!)
DO NOT give out ANY personal information to ANYONE!
Please, bump and spam this thread EVERYWHERE!

Jenna - you can put anyone on an ignore list on Yahoo, right? So if someone contacts you that you don't want, just block them or not accept the convo invite?
*nods* Put on ignore with a rather rude message (heh) but they find ways around it. Some people need to find more constructive things to do with their time. I've got an apartment that needs packing if they're in that much need. ;)
I want to add to this: I've also had reports that the same person doing this may also be sending PM's to hopeful adoptive parents claiming A) To have given birth to a Down's baby in the last few days or B) Has a baby thats a few months old that they'd like to place.
THIS is the reason why we do NOT permit matching on the forums - clearly, there is no way this person could have a 2-3 month old healthy infant and a 2-3 day old Downs baby and want to place both of them.
While many Internet matches go off without a hitch Җ many more do not! Protect yourself, your family and your heart and above all else, please report violations of the rules to the moderators (or me) so that this site continues to be a safe place for EVERYONE.

FYI: The offer of an infant to adopt has give to many different members - from Domestic waiting parents to those in the process of International adoption.
This message needs to be shared with ALL members - not just our domestic members :)
As a heart attack Jenna.
I've had SEVERAL Pm's from members about a woman (with several different user names) offering both the healthy and the down's baby for adoption.

I had four Yahoo! messages when I logged on from the offending user that PMed me here, but I didn't read them. I just clicked ignore. So I don't know if she/he/it was doing the same thing.
It's just simply saddening.
These kind of games make me sick.
If you guys have the user names, contact Yahoo so they can ban his/her IP address from Yahoo messenger.
-bumpity bump-

Yes, the grammar/spelling was VERY off.
AND BUMP.
Yeah I think I got one from that person too, but it was an email and he was and adoptive dad and wanted to "read from me soon". Weird...
